Kettle Gryp started as an idea between long-time friends Dan and Andy. We wanted the benefit of a kettlebell workout without buying a whole new set of weights. Dan came up with a clever way to adapt a kettlebell style handle to existing dumbbells. Andy created our patented design and didn’t cut any corners. As a US Marine Corps veteran, it was important that Kettle Gryp was 100% made in the USA with high quality parts.

TURNS DUMBBELLS INTO KETTLEBELLS IN A SNAP: Simply, open hinged handle, place your own dumbbell into the grip, re-close handle, snap latch. Kettle Gryp has the #1 patented secure latching closure. Easy. Safe. Secure.
DUMBBELL COMPATIBILITY: Compatible with most adjustable dumbbells and nearly all standard dumbbells with bare metal handles (max 1.5″ handle diameter, min 4.5″ handle length). **Does not fit** most vinyl or neoprene coated dumbbell handles because those are often too thick and/or too short. Please refer to the compatibility graphics.
PREMIUM QUALITY: Kettle Gryp is made from impact-resistant ABS plastic, urethane foam, and stainless steel. Its high-quality materials and advanced engineering make it incredibly strong. Maximum dumbbell weight is 55 lbs.

So excited this fits great for my dumbbells, I have the hex cap dumbells. I was debating on getting kettlebells to at to my home gym and stumble upon this!! Such a great find to save money! Right now highest weight I have in dumbells is 25lbs and it fits great and comfortable and feels sturdy and safe as far as the dumbells fitting securely in the clasp.

easy to use, space saver (no need to buy kettlebells if you only have dumbbells). Price needs to be lower as the cost of a kettlebell (depending on weight) is almost identical to actually buying the kettlebell.

Handle is slippery
While mechanically these work by design I find them somewhat dangerous to use as the plastic handle is very smoothand your grip can easily slip regardless as to whether your wearing gloves or not. I think there should be some rubber material or something there to make them more safe to use.
