I love that it’s affordable and still works as a top competitor for a brace. Spending low price for high quality is always a plus.I love the fact there are 4 velcro straps instead of 2. Makes for securing the brace more effective.I love the open back concept.The hinges makes it so there is some movement still. So walking is not complete stiff knee. It definitely gave me the stability I needed.

Great brace
I am 5’2 and have heavy thighs. This brace managed to fit around my thighs and my calf to brace my knee. It tended to slide if I didn’t tightened the lower portion enough. The compression is good and easy to use, and it is a good quality brace. Due to my weight and thigh size I had some leg irritation on my inner thigh due to the metal portion of the brace. Although it was covered it still dug in. No fault of the brace, just my body. I would still recommend this for purchase. It helped my knee tremendously.

Loved it & was comfy but size chart a little off!
I really loved it……but it wasn’t my size. I was supposed to get the 3x according to the size chart, but I got the 2x to be on the safe side, but still too big. I measured around 4 inches above my knee was 24 inches and 22 below my knee. I am 5 ft 6inch tall and 248 pounds so in all reality I should have gotten a 1x. So the measurements seems a little off. But the quality of this brace was good. Just where the knee pad donut was I could fit all my fingers in and if I put the brace tight on the top and bottom it would cut circulation and I would not be able to tolerate. My knee hurts, so I wanted security like for it to really hug my knee. The donut for the knee was squishy. I so wanted to love it and for the price it is worth it. Hope this helps. I always research and look for a lot of things before I buy a product. This brace was well made and nice and soft. I really wanted to love it, and I wanted to keep, but that was the only thing. I returned it and it was a quick process after I figured out how to do so. If this brace hugged my knee i would have known whether or not the hinges were of good use and I would have given the highest rating.

Comfort!
I, tore my miscus and chipped my tibia plateau, in a fall. The hospital supplied me with a sleeve for my leg, stating it would take a minimum of 3 months to heal. (There goes my dancing shoes!). I just turned 71! The sleeve wasn’t working, kept slipping down on my leg. Tried to find a different sleeve…no luck! I went on Amazon, did my search, and decided on the shorter, Spartans Hinged Knee Brace! Wow! WHAT A DIFFERENCE! It fit perfectly, and was comfortable to wear. I had wore the hospital brace for 8 days…total discomfort! What a difference a good brace can make! Within just a couple of days, I was able to move around, with little to no pain! I was able to cut back on my pain meds, and function at home, without my walker, using crutches instead! By the 3rd week, I can move in my home without either implement!

Honest review from a big girl
So this is the best knee brace I have ever bought. I struggle to find a brace that fits properly as my thighs are significantly larger than my calves. Despite the fit being loose in one spot the brace has held stability on my knee better than I’ve ever experienced. I have several damaged tendons. Currently my quadricept tendons connected to the kneecap is torn, I have a past meniscus tear that is damaged again, and my mcl and all have been torn. So its reinjured easily and happens about once a year im back in a brace.The support I recieve in this brace allows me to use the full extension of my knee while walking relieving me of my limp which helps my calf and back feel better. And it allows me to use the quadricep muscle without worrying about my tendons hurting.Overall it is worth a buy.Side note, the metal reinforcement bars ARE REMOVABLE! so as you heal and no longer need the extra support you can use the same brace.The design of the straps allow excellent placement and keeps the brace from slipping which is a major issue with my previous mentioned anatomy. 10/10 would reccomend

After reading the reviews, it seemed to be a 50/50 shot on this being effective, and with Amazon’s commitment to customer satisfaction, it really was a worry free purchase.I suffer from several issues in my knee and work as a courier. I have an $800 brace I was issued for after my latest surgery and although effective, it is the most uncomfortable thing to wear whether direct on skin, or over top my pant. I have a cheap compression brace I tried, and it provided some relief but very little support.I saw this one which seems to combine the best of both of my previous braces. I also saw it was $10 cheaper than my compression brace.I tried it out this week, and it out performed any of my expectations. No pain and the device was comfortable to wear all throughout a 12 hour shift. I have it direct on my leg. Some discomfort if the Velcro isn’t on properly, but easy to relieve. Some have mentioned this is bulky, but it fits discreetly under my pant. It is true to size, so measure carefully. The materials are comfortable, breathable, and are excellent quality. My favourite feature is the easily removable hinges and padded but open patella.I truly am amazed at the value! I can see where some might find some issues with it, but it is worth trying if you suffer from knee pain / injury / condition.I suffer from a reconstructive surgery due to a bullet wound and later on a hyperextension injury that required debridement. I personally highly recommend this product! I will be buying this one from now on!
